Scotch Broom Removal at Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park

One of the consequences of clear cutting in the Kitsap Heritage Park is the rapid growth of scotch broom. With approval from the park stewards and in recognition of Earth Day, KEC is organizing a “Scotch Broom Brigade” to cut scotch broom at the proper time to prevent/reduce its spread.

Meet at the Port Gamble Forest Heritage Park – the Bay View Parking Lot on Saturday, April 24th, 10:00 a.m.  Someone from KEC lead the way to the removal site.
