Clean Fuel Standard hearing

 WE NEED YOUR VOICE!

Puget Sound Clean Air Agency (PSCAA) is holding a public hearing for people to comment about the proposed Clean Fuel Standard. The rule would mandate a reduction by 25% of the carbon intensity of fossil fuels by 2030. Considering that transportation accounts for almost 40% of Washington’s emissions, this rule is a huge step toward getting the state off of fossil fuels, combatting air pollution and promoting renewable energy.

We need as many people as possible to testify in support of the Clean Fuel Standard next Tuesday, February 4th, 4 -7pm, at the Kitsap Conference Center in Bremerton. It is important that PSCAA passes this rule because a similar bill is on floor of the house right now. If legislators see the PSCAA pass this rule, it is very likely that the rule will become statewide this session. Plus the oil industry is starting to ramp up their opposition and is pouring money into a campaign to get PSCAA and the legislature to vote no on this rule and we are need to send a clear message that the time for cleaner fuel is now!
