On February 1, the County announced three alternatives for land use and zoning as the overall framing for the update of the Comprehensive Plan. They held meetings throughout February. At the same time the County’s Parks Department is moving forward on updating its 2018 PROS (Parks, Recreation, and Open Space) Plan. KEC members have been talking with County staff and attending meetings related to both activities.
This meeting will be a time to consolidate the information that KEC members have obtained and determine where we should focus our attention in the next few months. Important decisions are being made during this time period. We need to carefully target our input to make a difference for the environment as these plans are being updated.
