Additionally, on March 26, 2024, the Kitsap County Planning Commission made a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners on a Preferred land use Alternative to guide the final version of the Comprehensive Plan. Their recommendation can be viewed at kcowa.us/kitsap.gov.

The Board of County Commissioners will hear public testimony about the recommendation and alternatives for their consideration. The meeting is Monday, April 8th at 5:30PM at the Kitsap County Administration Building’s, Board Chambers in Port Orchard and online via Zoom.

Here is your opportunity to express your views on the land use alternatives and policy issues related to urban growth areas, rural rezones, building heights, environmental issues and more. Individual verbal testimony during the hearing is limited to 2 minutes/person. Written testimony can also be submitted. Send it to compplan@kitsap.gov by April 8, 2024.
