Kitsap Environmental Coalition (KEC) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization, run entirely by dedicated volunteers. KEC is honored to have everyone from high school students to retirees in its ranks. Our work covering a wide range of education and advocacy actions is supported by donations and active participation by its members.
KEC sees nature as having its own inalienable and inherent rights. We also:
- Acknowledge our presence on the ancestral lands of the Coast Salish people.
- Build honest, respectful relationships with all people affected by KEC work.
- Build community with integrity, transparency, humility, compassion, and joy.
- Use scientifically- and factually-based data, inquiry methods and decision-making.
- Recognize nature's rights locally and more broadly within the northwest ecosystem.
